A Peek into Stel Active's First Birthday
Stel Active’s first birthday celebration was an unforgettable experience, and we couldn’t have asked for a better location than Hello Pilates to mark this special occasion. The day was filled with energizing movement, great conversation, and of course, delicious food.
We kicked off the festivities with an invigorating Pilates session that had everyone feeling energized and ready to take on the day. It was a fun and inclusive class where everyone—whether a Pilates newbie or a seasoned pro—could join in and connect. It was the perfect way to set the tone for a day full of wellness, community, and celebration.
After the class, guests mingled, chatted, and enjoyed some refreshments from The Juice Institute while celebrating Stel Active’s incredible first year. But the real treat came when we welcomed Malissa Fedele, a mood-boosting nutritionist, MasterChef contestant, and founder of Goodday Wellness, who hosted a cooking demo that left everyone inspired.
Malissa not only demonstrated how to prepare a vibrant and refreshing Mood Boosting Strawberry Salad but also shared her valuable insights on the connection between nutrition and mood. As she prepared the dish, she discussed how certain foods can help elevate your mood, reduce stress, and promote overall wellness. Her tips were a hit, and the fresh, healthy ingredients came together to create a salad that was as nourishing for the body as it was for the soul.
Malissa Fedele’s Mood Boosting Strawberry Salad
Here’s the recipe so you can recreate this delicious, mood-boosting dish at home:
Ingredients:
- 1 punnet ripe strawberries, washed and sliced
- 1 tin chickpeas, rinsed & dried
- 250g spinach and rocket
- 1 avocado, sliced
- Handful of fresh mint
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 punnet cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 bunch asparagus
- 1 cucumber, diced
- 1/4 cup almonds, roughly chopped
- 50g Danish feta or goat’s cheese
Dressing:
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2-3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1-2 tsp honey
- Salt & black pepper
Method:
- In a hot pan or on a BBQ, char the asparagus until bright green and just cooked. Season as desired.
- Assemble all the salad ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
- To make the dressing, add all the dressing ingredients into a jar, shake well until combined, and toss through the salad.
- Transfer the salad to a serving plate and garnish with feta and almonds.
- Enjoy!
